Home Care Services (Kent) Ltd is a privately run Domiciliary Care Provider, established in 1994, which employs Care Workers in the following Boroughs and Districts in Kent;

• Canterbury
• Dartford
• Gravesham
• Herne Bay
• Sevenoaks
• Swale
• Thanet
• Tonbridge & Malling
• Whitstable

We provide a service to the disabled and elderly people in these areas who cannot carry out their own personal care needs without assistance.

Our aim, by providing this service, is to ensure these people lead a full and independent life as possible, without the need for admission to hospital, residential or nursing home. All of the people we provide a service for are currently living in their own homes. The duties we carry out can include:

• Washing
• Dressing
• Bathing or Showering
• Visits to the toilet
• Getting in or out of bed
• Shaving
• Supervising medication
• Preparing meals
• Shopping
• House work

As a member of our team you would be assigned to one of the above areas, with support locally as well as an administrative level. Our services are provided by our teams covering mornings, lunches, tea calls and evenings, seven days a week throughout the year. Your working pattern would be discussed with you at interview to ensure that all members are taking their share of the unsocial hours of work.

Most of our training courses are run “in-house”, with specialist organisations providing some external sessions.

We hold regular Care Staff meetings where all members attend and are encouraged to participate actively. Our offices are open from 7AM to 10PM daily and each area is staffed with an Area Manager and support staff.

Please note that due to Kent County Council Bye-Laws all people employed to carry out personal care to individuals must be over 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Vacancies

• Home Care Assistants – to provide individualised personal care to people in their own homes
• Out of Hours Assistants – to provide emergency contact facilities to Care Workers and Service Users
• Care Supervisors – with a minimum of NVQ II successful applicants would provide support and quality development in the community
• Telecare Response Workers – The successful candidates once alerted will visit in person a variety of people with a myriad of needs at any time of the day or night
